|
|
I have done a search of the postings and not really come up with an answer to my query.
I have an Ipaq 3950 that I used to use with an external receiver and TomTom that worked well.
But I now have a Compaq Bluetooth Jacket that is recognised by the Ipaq, (Bluetooth Manager comes up) but if I go into Ipaq System and click on Bluetooth icon I get "Bluetooth is not working. Insert the bluetooth jacket".
When I do a search it cannot find any devices.
This is driving me mad, can anyone explain what might be going wrong.

Wow, not heard mention of one of them for a long while!
It may be that you need drivers for the jacket to be seen by the iPaq? _________________ Darren Griffin |

Thanks,
done a google for them but dont seem to be available anymore, the other thing is the ports on the Ipaq show as 7 & 8 and I need them to be 1 , 2 etc for the Btooth to be seen. Cant get them to change, think I will give up on this and put it back in the cupboard, oh well I use to enjoy using it.[/code] |

Hi Mike
Sorry I never responded, I have ditched the 3950 and now have a 5270 with built in GPS/BTooth.
I now have a new problem, everything seems to be ok except that I cannot get the 5720 to connect to my Bluetooth phone, I can pair it but it will not connect.
I thought I would be able to use the phone to access the net (which it does-its a HTC Hero) and see it on 5720 using BTooth.
Any ideas please, it gives me the message no services available as well. |
