Tap the traffic bar on the righthand side of the screen then the browse map option and traffic information will show up, the other browse map option from the main menu won't show traffic data unless you tap options and enable it every time you try and use it, tapping the traffic side bar is much easier to get through to the traffic related options and information - Mike |

Where in the country are you located, if the ball is turning green then it has seen a signal, if you zoom out on the map do you see any red circles which are the traffic incidents.
Seeing a green ball only shows the receiver has seen a signal but it doesn't mean the device has received actual data, location could have a bearing on this issue as signal coverage isn't too good in certain areas of the UK - Mike |

What version of map have you got installed to the device? if its v835 use Windows Explorer to open the Western_Europe map folder and look at following file sizes:
tmccodes.dat
traffic.dat
Are these 0Kb per chance as this is known TT Home related bug, if you are unsure as to the map version installed tap the sat stength meter followed by the version box on the right and the resultant screen will offer this information - Mike |

I should have also asked which map but if its UK&ROI then the file sizes look about correct, if you have a Western_Europe map installed then something isn't quite right - Mike |

On the map today i found 3 red circles, tapped one and found it showed total of 111 incidents, 108 of them in Europe, 2 in Worcester and 1 in Leeds.
Tom Tom map on computer showed a lot more incidents in England,
what am i doing wrong

You shouldn't be getting any traffic data for anywhere other than the UK and it should be specific to the area you are in, to get traffic info for both Leeds and Worcester would suggest you were somewhere in between these two locations but clearly something is amiss if you can see incidents in mainland Europe - Mike |

Used my 520T yesterday, from 0730hrs to 2130hrs Dorset to Blackpool and back, absolutely no traffic info at all. I didn't even get the little green indicator in the top right hand corner. Tried the manual re-tune to the local Classic radio. Still nothing. So what changes do I have to make.
I see Mike is talking about some .dat files ( tmc and traffic )
It used to work fine.
Using UK map 840. |

Just check the file size of the two files that are in your UK&ROI map folder:
tmccodes.dat
traffic.dat
If these are 0Kb then you have found the problem and its easy to fix, if they are showing a file size when viewed with Windows Explorer then the problem lies elsewhere - Mike |

Mike....tmccodes.dat shows 889 KB
traffic.dat shows 1KB
So it looks like I'll have to look elsewhere... |
