Hi
My aged 720 decided it no longer wanted to be part of my life, so managed to buy a heavily discounted 930T. The 930 does not offer the 'quick GPS fix' in the downloads as the 720 did, but does seem to offer it via GPRS from the actual TOMTOM unit.....? any ideas, I thought It shouldn't be an issue to download the quick positions, or is something broken? For the record th OS is:
App: 8.351 OS: 315187
v835.2419 North_America map
Thanks,

Try going to the Tomtom folder within my documents.
Navigate to the Ephemeris folder within,
Full path, Mydocuments-tomtom-home-download-complete-ephemeris
In the Ephemeris file there should be all the previous gpsfix downloads.
Simply select them all and delete them, this should stir your unit into dowloading the latest gpsfix the next time you connect.
Its a good idea to go in there periodically and clear out the file as Home doesn't delete previous when it downloads the latest.
Regards,

Sometimes, as well as deleting the contents of the "ephemeris" folder on the PC, you also need to delete the contents of the "ephem" folder on the TomTom itself to get it all downloading correctly again. |
