I am thinking about using my TomTom 520 whilst I'm on foot in tourist mode around cities. Unfortunately my battery life is very poor - up to 2hrs if I am really lucky (no bluetooth, no FM transmitter, no voice).

This is not a problem in the car as I always have it connected to power but definitely is away from a power source.

I have read about the U2O power pack in reference to a SatMap and as a reply about TomTom battery life but I am not clear that anyone has actually used one on their TomTom whilst out and about.

If it works then it could be the answer to my problem.

I would only need it to keep the TomTom working for a whole day as I would have a mains charger with me so could charge the TomTom up overnight.

Cheers

If you getting close to two hours from the built in battery you have got a good one!
The U2O pack works fine with the TomTom, just connect it using a standard USB to mini USB lead, the 5400 U2O pack should give you around eight hours use from a full charge - Mike

Cheers Mike.

That's exactly what I wanted to know.
