|
|
Guys, just aquired a tomtom 700 , navcore is 7.903 and I understand the latest version is 8.30. I have the map for Western Europe v.675.1409. Is there a way I can download the latest navcore from TomTom website or do I need to do something else. When I bought the unit I didn't get a product code so will that hinder and map update.
Many thanks.

To download the latest software, you need to use TomTom's utility program for the PC or Mac, called "Home".
You can download Home from THIS page
However, the most recent software for the Go700 is still 7.903 (not all models can use the latest software versions).
You can buy much more recent maps though. Again you do this via "Home".
Also, the way that maps are locked to your device has changed, so you don't need a product or device code any more. Home sorts it all out for you whilst it downloads a new map.
Hope that helps. |

Thanks for the advise Andy. So basically I don't need the current navcore to be able to download the maps.

True.
You won't get the extra features like IQ routes, but you should be offered a compatible version of the map. Install Home and try it... |
