is there an easier way to collate poi files?
i've recently downloaded a poi file of truck parking places and i want to cross reference/collate/integrate it with the poi file that i've already made myself. i've started doing each location in turn and deleting from the second file but it could take ages that way. is there an easier method? |

Welcome to the forum, download and install POIEdit from This Web site, you can use this to edit and concatenate multiple POI files in to a single category - Mike |

A better program might be POIManager.
This can remove duplicates automatically and create an output File ready for use.
Another from the stable of our own Oldie. _________________ Richard

Not wanting to denigrate Oldie's program at all, but POIEdit can also remove duplicates (within a user-settable radius) and can output ov2 files for immediate use with the TomTom.
To merge files with POIEdit, you "open" the first one and "append" (from the file menu) the next ones.
You can then "save as..." with a new name, if you wish. |
