:evil: Stuttering female voices in copilot 7

Can anyone help? When approaching roundabouts the female voice says t-t-take x exit at roundabout (x = what exit to take, e.g. 1st, 2nd etc). I've done numerous hard resets, formatting the 8gb memory card all done under instruction of alk technical support but with no success. I've even tried using the original card alk sent but this didn't work. Alk have not come up with a solution yet. The fault was first reported on the 3rd of June. The maps are pan-european and the device is a HTC TytnII on contract with Orange.[/b]

I don't use one of these (HTC TytnII) but some quick questions. Is it just one voice or all of them? Just at roundabouts or any other announcement? Clutching at straws here but if so then it might be a memory problem. Not being familiar with the device and Windows Mobile 6 I don't know if it's possible to allocate the amount of memory being used for storage and programs anywhere in the system (not Co-Pilot) like you can on Windows PPC 2003. If you can, then it might be worth trying to increase the amount being used for programs.

Hopefully someone more knowledgeable than me will be along to offer more help!

Does it stutter with all the voices or just a single one? - one other trick is to select a different voice then re-select the voice you were having trouble with, this has fixed a number of voice related problems in the past.

With WM5 and 6 the memory is managed automatically so it is not possible to allocate manually, there isn't even an option for this, Microsoft think they know best (again) - Mike
