Hi Guys,
I'm fairly new to this.
I finally managed to get the camera database loaded onto my Kenwood DNX7200, which runs the Garman software.
However, when approaching a 30mph camera I get a 19mph warning, a 60 mph camera is flagged up as a 37mph warning and and a 70 as a 43mph.
Any clues to a solution, or is it a glitch in the system?
TIA

Jim,
Somehow you've got your units messed up by the looks of it. 70 kph comes out at 43 mph and the other examples all are the same in terms of conversion ratios (60 kph = 37 mph)
The unit seems to be assuming that the files are KPH and converting them down to mph somehow.
Have a look through your unit settings and try changing them to see what happens.
other than that it could be a bug in your software.
Good luck

Gav, you have hit the nail on the head
Jim simply re-install the POI files to the device using POILoader, but this time please select MPH as the unit of speed, by default it offers KPH which causes this common complaint (it is easy done though) - Mike |
