Hi All,
I have just got myself a new One V2 to replace my old One which I had dropped. The Old mount never came away from the windscreen but my new one has fallen off 5 times is 3 days!!!!
What is the secret please?
The windscreen is clean & dry and I seem to push it on quite hard but I'm concerned that my new one will be broken soon as well.
Regards
Roger. |

You need to moisten it before placing it on the screen, and ensure that the chosen screen area is flat. It will fall off if you put it on a curved part of the screen

Thanks for the reply Robin.
I will damp it down and try again in the morning.

As a coach driver I love my ONE Regional.
But I think I have figured the mount problem, heat! It seems that having your windscreen too warm around the mount seems to make it more supple and it eventually just gives. After it falling about 3 or 4 times I kinda realised why. I have only had my gps since september and it looks a couple of years old as its scuffed and the paint is all chipped. Oh well.
I now just chuck a jobsheet or newspaper in the bottom right corner of the windscreen of my coach over the vent, means the corner doesnt usually demist, but I would rather that than my toy falling on the floor.
For those of you who have your gps in the centre of the windscreen, an opt to try this and end up moving your gps to the side of your car, remember to keep you damn drivers window closed and even better if your car auto locks the doors. You dont need some muppet running off with it!
Hope it helps. |
