|
|
A word of warning, I recently visited Flordia with my downloaded (from TomTom) SouthEast Region USA map, version 6.44. and Key West is missing from this map, the map ends shortly after Key Cudjoe.
Now the purchase page states full coverage unless otherwise stated, edited extracts below:
Quote: | * Unless stated otherwise, all areas covered by TomTom maps are 100% fully attributed... |
Quote: | Detailed regional map completely covering the states of .... and Florida (FL).... |
Source page: http://www.tomtom.com/plus/services/mds.php
I am also about to email TomTom regarding this, as under UK law this is extremely dodgy but worse it was extemely annoying. |

There is only 1 road (US1) from the mainland to Key West, but Key West itself has hundreds of small roads. |

I just checked my South-East map - which is part of the map package I got with my North American TT Classic.
Key West is fully on my map. So you DID get cheated! |

Thanks for that info, still awaiting a reply from TomTom, not even 24 hours yet.
I imagine that this is a simple data error where someone forgot to add that part of the map to the download package, I cannot believe that I am the only one to go to Key West with a TomTom!
My map ends as Sugarloaf Key starts, as if the world ends with a straight line across the screen with nothing below. |

Just received a genric email reply back from TomTom telling me all about maps being updated and how to report a map error... What a waste of time.
I have replied asking them to actually read my original email or I will look into what law covers this.
As I am still on vaction I cannot call them until I get home.
Will post what happens here. |

I have the USA maps which came out around 15 months ago and they are completely up to date as far as Key West streets are concerned. And I know this because I live in Key West.

This is a good one, here is my second reply from TomTom
Quote: | The map of Key West is not included with the US South East Region Plus map.
We understand your disappointment with the map data you purchased and have added the downloadable map for Key West to your TomTom account.
|
TomTom have an interesting definition of 100% coverage, as Key West is definatly in Flordia. |
