I purchased a TomTom XDA (1) car kit/holder as I was told it would fit an XDA 2. I can only get the XDA 2 in by some serious force or by removing the battery cover. In either case I cannot get the connector at the bottom to fit. Has anyone fitted an XDA 2 into this or any other car kit - or experienced the same problem. |

Croman,
the connector is the same for the XDA and the XDA II but the device geometry is pretty different. You will have to "work" the holder to make room for the places where the XDA II is thicker. _________________ Lutz

Have you actually connected this set-up - an XDA 2 to an XDA 1 tomtom car kit. Without the battery cover the XDA 2 slips in easily, with room to 'wiggle' in the holder - but a have tried numerous times to force the connector in and at slightly different angles, but Im scared of breaking something - this is how much force I am using. Compared to the ease of connection between the XDA 2 supplied cradle and portable connector, the tomTom XDA 1 car holder is exremely tight ??? |

I wish I'd own an XDA II but alas - anyhow, I was just guessing, not knowing... _________________ Lutz
