|
|
I'm still having problems with MP3 playback, what about every one else?
I am playing relatively long Audio Book MP3s by the way.....
I still have the problem that sometimes the MP3 player gets to the end of a file then stops, complains about an error with the file and does not continue to the next. Very annoying when you are in the Navigate screen because playback just stops and then you have to go and find out why.
I am also now getting another problem in that sometimes when I power up the 910 I can't get any MP3s to play at all. On some occassions turning on and off a few times sorts this out but more than once I have had to reset the box to get them to start. Very annoying because on all occassions I loose the position in the MP3 and have to perform lots of things instead of just driving down the road.
The 910 is seeming to be more and more unstable as it gets older and older.
Any thoughts?

I've had the error with file a couple of times, but I think I sorted that by re-selecting the playlist. I just have a ton of music on constant shuffle though.
What audiobook formats does the 910 support?
Could it be something to do with bitrate of the audiobook files? Sometimes they're pretty low bitrates or VBR. |

As stated in one of my threads, tomtom want you to only play mp3s which are encoded in the 1993 ISO/IEC standard. Have a read of m thread "Updates update .... ".
Its to know its not only me having problems with the mp3 player. boo to tomtom |

Well they aren't really audio books. They are MP3 files with audio content. Not real Audio Books.

Yeah, I thought so. Just wondered if classifying them as audiobooks would make them run any better.
Apple has the .m4a files for music, but apparently if you re-label them as .m4b it plays as an audiobook and doesn't appear in the shuffle - just wondered if there was anything similar on the 910 - and what format the audiobooks are in. |
