It is worth every penny.

comet are selling the Garmin GA27C antenna for just £21.99 if you want to go official. Search for i3 on their website, then select the i3 and it'll come up under accessories. Way cheaper than Garmin are selling it for, I think. |

You can only buy this with the i3. It will not let you buy as a seperate item. In fact if you search for the antenna item number it draws a blank. |
Nope, he bought it last week (having already bought the i3 from Argos) and it arrived today. Works well too - at least, it gets a signal indoors at work where it couldn't get a signal before.
He did order it over the phone though - just checked it out on the web. He was trying to get it sooner by using the phone - same price though.
Looking at the website, I think they've made a mistake in that it can only be bought as an accessory (it vanishes when you deselect the i3 itself) they'll sell it on it's own if you give them a call. |

How bizarre... guy at work showed me what he'd done on the PC to just get the antenna, having sworn he had managed to select it on it's own on the website...
Select the i3, then add the antenna as an accessory, then in your basket, set the number of i3's to zero, and hey presto, you have just the antenna.
Be nice if they designed it so you could buy it in an easier way! |
