Apologies for extending my original query to a new topic.
TomTom, after the excellent advice from the forum members will be sending a replacement cradle after mine collapsed.
I have a query though. The cradle they will be sending me is the goose neck version (i.e. bendy wire and suction cup arrangement). $64000 question.. will I be able to use my bluetooth hands-free since when I connect my phone TTG displays a message telling me to insert it in to the cradle for the micorphone to work?
Thanks. |

My Tom Tom despatch email said the following:
"HR Global 2 Base (new gooseneck)"
This is actually incorrect .... I was worried I was going to get a gooseneck which I did not want. What actually arrived was the "Classic" short and solid TTG suction mount that looks the same as the one supplied with the "Classic" TTG.
I suspect you will receiev the same unless you specifically asked for the Gooseneck type.

Frazzle, can you remember how long it took them to send it to you.
They said they were sending me a new mount on the 28th Sept, but I've not received anything yet. seems a bit too early to panic, but I'm getting twitchy. |

Thanks Frazzle, this exactly what TomTom have said to me. They have quoted 5 to 10 days delivery so I'll watch the post with great anticipation.
Thanks again. :D |

In response to the question about how long it took to arrive..... It arrived in Milton Keynes 2 Days after I received the email advising that it had been despatched from the warehouse.
It comes from ModusLink in the Netherlands and the courier they use is UPS.
If you are still waiting for yours I suggest you chase it as all my items have arrived pretty quicky when I've ordered form Tom Tom.
Cheers
