I have a colleauge in my office who has a Tungsten T3, who is trying to update TT4.42 to version 5. He has installed the app from the CD's via the hotsync, but TT will not update to version 5. It has been installed to a blank SD card, and the app & maps appear to be installed ok. However when he runs TT from the icon on his palm it says "No maps Found". He then inserts his old SD card with the version 4 maps and TT works fine.
It doesnt seem to have updated for some reason. I have a pocket PC and have no knowledge of how the Tunsten works. I cant seem to see an uninstall option.
Can any of you guys help at all ??
Thanks. |

I installed it on zire 72. But I guess same should be true for T3.
Delete the application if it is installed in internal memory. Install application directly to SD card even if upgrade pack insert tells it to install in internal memory.
This should hopefully work. |

I have a T3 and had a few issues when upgrading.
First of all I formatted my SD card and uninstalled the previous application off the palm (local).
Find the update installation CD and install the application. I emptied my cache after the install (but I have sonce found a fix via a run command). The install the map of your choice. I chose GB.
It worked fine for me after that -- but I did have a few more issues after installed the latest match for TT5 |

Thanks for the info. Do you simply slect the local Tom Tom folder and delete it? or is there another way to remove installed programs? |

From Palm main screen
Menu -> App -> Delete.
To format SD card
System -> Card Info and then Menu -> Format Card |
