As far as I know, there is no limit on the number of POIs installed. Only on the number that can be displayed. Don't quote me on that, since I only ever have maybe 1 POI category icon enabled along with all the safety camera POIs. I heard from a few people that enabling too many POI icons lowers the refresh rate on the map updates. But I've never really felt the need to enable many POI Icons.

FYI: you can still navigate to POIs in TT even with the icons not showing on the map. i.e. I have a POI for the M6 Toll road, and navigate via it when going down to the southern parts of the UK, but I don't enable it's icon since it'd be useless showing it on the map if i'm already on the M6 Toll.

I have found the same problem. The files are in my map folder but when I go to enable POI, they are not on the list. It does seem to have a limit

I'm not just imagining it then! Same thing is happening to me, does anyone know a quick fix?

ive bin told yes you can have 39 custom pois ok thats kool
but there is no limit to the ones you can add via tt5(total rubbish)

i added a new poi via tt5 and it took away one of my custom pois making the total number of custom ones to 38

really think this is a total joke

wmt

tt3 had 99 custom ones but tt5 has over 50% less
