Start>Settings>System>Backlight>External power
Uncheck "Turn off backlight if device is not used for....."

Thanks Robin, You beat me too it.
Kingster Don't forgett to do the same in 'battery' if you want the light to stay on when running on battery power as well.
I wouldnt recomend this, battery life is relatively short with the light on.

Thats my point, I am on battery when in the car. Looks like I need a powered gps mount instead of bluetooth. |

May be a bit late but PDAMods do a Rikaline Blue tooth GPS with a 16 hour battery life. It was not available when I was buying. I would recomend a CF unit. Rikaline 6021 or 6020 type or similar, I use a 6020. It means your PDA is not tied to a second unit and you are not tying up a blue tooth chanel, many devises will only talk to one blue tooth device at a time. Of course your PDA must have a CF slot available. An in-car charger unit/cable is much cheaper than a powered car holder but is not as tidy and can lack functionality and convienience. Is yours a permanent instalation or multi vehicle? I deliver vehicals so my system has to be portable between vehicles and usable on foot.
Hope this helpful
