Hi,
I'm quite new to the GPS sceene, but would like to install the Holux GR 230 Bluetooth unit into my vehicle in conjunction with the HP iPaq 2200 pocket PC.
My question is: Is the GR 230 receiver/setup compatible with the Garmin, 'MapSource City Select North America', maps?
If not, which maps are compatible. I'm primarely interested in GPS usage in, North Americas West Coast, in cluding Canada, but all of North America including Canada would probably be ideal.
The Holux GPS Receiver will (like 99% of all GPS Receivers) work with all software. The only exception is Garmin or Magellan's MapSource / DataSend / MapSend software as these will not use the NMEA stream out of the GPS and will use their own proprietary interface.
So in short, anything like CoPilot, TomTom, Mapopolis, TeleType, Destinator, Navman will work on the iPAQ.
