speed camera sound files overwritten

The speed camera sound files appear to have been overwritten by the V5 update.
Will it be ok to re-install them? can't remember which file contains the sounds.

I tried replacing the 'new' data.chk file with the 'speed camera' version and my TTGO locked up on startup. Put the 'new' version back and all is well (with TTGO!). The 'new' file is bigger than the original but I don't see any more options/sounds to choose from.

Looks like we need an update to the 'speed camera' sounds file.

can't edit so have to reply to my own post.

Seems the data.chk file has the speed zoned voice sounds, however I just tried copying the old 4.42 data.chk (containing the voice files) over to the V5 installation and the tom tom hung on boot.
Reset and removed the file and all is as before.

Should the 4.42 data.chk work with V5?

The data.chk file is different for each version of software released by TomTom. Not only does the file contain the sound files, but it also has the text to be used by the application. This has changed a lot between 4.42 and 5.0.

Check out the thread on spoken warnings above where you will find that Lutz is currently working on a new version for the released version of the software.

I've done a quick data.chk for v5 - (poi sound warning file)
It has only 7 sounds Warning Speed Camera 30 mph,40,50,60,70 and warning speed camera, warning redlight camera.
Warnings link to Beep1 to 5 and Bell 1 & 2 all others are empty.
Something is better than nothing.
