Do as the installation instructions say:

Install CheckPOInt first (get it here -> http://checkpoint.oabsoftware.nl/)
Then copy the 2 files for postcodes to a folder in your SD card (or whatever storage you want).
Then create a shortcut and off you go Smile

Hi,

Excellent app - Thanks Niels!

Just 1 thing though - it would be good to be able to navigate to a certain house number in that postcode like you can when you enter the address in TTN.

If I plan use 'Navigate To' in the postcode app, is there a way I can then change the route in TTN to add the house number?

Thanks!

Had a little difficulty installing it, but having today installed CheckPOInt, its working perfectly on all the demo tests I've run it through.

Its pinpointed the locations of all the postcodes I've entered, for "show on map", and "navigate to" in TomTom demo. Now ready to hit the road with it.

Totally superb program it is. Thumbs Up

Really amazing.

Just made a payment donation towards your costs by PayPal and would urge others to do so in the name of fair play as its such a useful program to get great value from. Thanks.

Doghead, I couldn't agree with you more. Neils's p/code prog is without doubt the Dog's Doo-dahs!!! What a shame he doesn't work for TomTom - just imagine how sweet TTN3 would be Mr. Green !!

Neils,

Thanks for a fantastic programme, the postcodes add-on makes TomTom3 what it should have been. You deserve some money from TomToms less than expert programmes for fixing TT3!!

Hi everyone,
I'm wondering if anyone can possibly help me get the postcode program working?

I believe I've followed all the instructions and it gives the message "cannon find ukpostcode or one of its components.."

I have copied both files to the SD card, have TTN 3 and CheckPOInt 3.2 installed.

The error happens even when I run the .exe from filemanager.

Any help would be gratefully appreciated.

Cheers
Nick

I should hav added that its TTN 3.01 and a Dell Axim X5 if that makes any difference, and that I've tried putting the latest SP (2) of the compact framework on too.

Hi

I would too be interested in knowing if there is any version of this excellent application that would work with PocketPC2000 (this time on a Jornada 525)?

I am soon to be aquiring this (somewhat old) PDA for GPS use, and i know that a postcode checker would be invaluable!

Thanks

Andy

Hi All,

Thanks to help from psionman, I can now announce that a new database has been built and placed on the web site. It contains 2,264,992 post codes which is around 600,000 more than the previous version, which should address most of the missing code issues reported. I've checked all the ones that I've had reported missing to me and they're all in the database.

Download the new file from:
http://www.digitools.co.uk/downloads/ukpostcode/download.php

Note that the unpacked database file has grown from 12.8MB to 17.2MB, so if youre short of space on your storage card it may no longer fit. I am working on compressing this further for future versions.

OS have taken legal action to remove UKPostCodes and this applies both ot the developer and any site hosting them. They're too large for email so we're unable to help, sorry.
