|
|
Hi, I have an Ipaq 2210 and an Arkon powered mount, which I am very pleased with, For the 1st couple of months I had no problems at all with this set up. But just over the past few weeks, my Ipaq backlight goes out after 5 mins, and this continually happens throughout my journey. As you can understand this is not only frustrating but also dangerous when I have to keep touching the screen to get the light back on. Does anyone know why this is happening and how to remedy it???
thanks in advance |

What software? if it's TomTom check the GPS Applet, there is a slider on the GPS Tab with a Zzz and a PDA Icon, slide towards the PDA icon to ensure the PDA does not power save when GPS is active. _________________ Darren Griffin |

Thanks Darren for your fast reply, I have looked at the GPS applet in tom tom, but it is set to the Pda Icon and not the Zzzz one |

Is it definitely receiving power when in the Arkon mount? Check if the same issue occurs when on mains power. _________________ Darren Griffin |

The Pda, is definately charging in the mount, do you mean try it in the Pda cradle and see if the light stays on? |

Thanks Alix, that appears to have done the trick on the cradle, so I guess that is the problem solved. And thanks Darren for your help |
