I have installed a TNS300 Sat Nav in my new(2005) Toyota Corolla. The navigation is working OK, but the compass in the top left of my display, only occasionally points in the right direction. I'm sure it worked OK in my previous car, another Corolla. Have I connected the wiring correctly? I was thinking that I may have somehow miswired the Gyro.
Please help

Is the compass driven by GPS data or a digital compass sensor? _________________ Darren Griffin |

I have no idea, I'm new to Sat Navs. It's a Toyota TNS300, which works in conjunction with the audio head unit, via a computer under the front passenger seat. When the nav unit is NOT in navigation mode, a compass is displayed at the top left hand corner of the display. Occasionally it seems to point in the right direction, but more often than not, it is 90 degrees, or 180 degrees incorrect.
When navigating, the compass is not visible, and the navigation system works OK. |
