Just a cpl of questions as im new to this

1) can anyone tell me where i can get a speed camera database for this version and how to set it up?

2) now instead of using Navigator 4 mapping software for my gps, can i install co-pilot live 5 onto my Medion, only becaus the maps and interface seem to be easier to work with than the navigator 4.4 software

Hi lancscpl2004
you can use any software that is for pocket PC which I believe Co Pilot is. Have a look at the review on this forum of Co Pilot. As for the speed cam data base I have never used it on the PNA100 but I think it is also available on this forum have a look at downloads you might find it there.

The MDPNA devices are not Pocket PCs, and, in general, Pocket PC software will not work on them.

Hi David
the Medion MDPNA100 is a pocket PC it comes in a package with the usual suspects pocket exel, word, microsoft reader etc if you get a chance to review or look at one it states it is a pocket PC on the top left front of the unit hope this clears up any confusion.

My apologies - I've been caught out here, it seems. I had thought that Medion had used MDPPC codes for all Pocket PCs, and MDPNA for all 'dedicated' units.

Many of the PNA units don't run Pocket PC, but it looks as if the MDPNA 100 does.

Confused? I certainly am!

Hi David
no problems, as a newbie to the PDA,PNA market I went into Halfords and purchased the medion PNA 175 which is the same as the 150 if purchased anywhere else and wanted maps of Europe only to discover that this device was windows ce net OS and Medion were not going to release Europe as an option. Halfords were good enough to give me full refund against the PNA 100 which comes with western Europe included. I think the PNA100 is the upgrade to the one Aldi where selling, the differance being that the PNA100 GPS and antenna are built in. There are pro's and cons between the PNA100 and PNA150 the maps for the UK are not as detailed on the PNA100 I am not sure if this is a good thing or bad as the 150 would have you green laneing, ok if you had a 4x4 or motorcross bike and a forestry comission key to get through their gates on the other hand it had more forestry tracks be they used or old ones than O.S maps of this area. Discovered this on a day out to the Snowman Rally held up here in the Highlands. Now were can I lay my hands on a map of Slovenia?

cherrs Bob

Hi lancscpl2004
I purchased my PNA100 maybe 3 weeks ago from Halfords and after reading several posts I came to the conclusion that my one came with old map material so I phoned Medion and I have sent all my CD's back to them and they are going to replace them with version 4.4. I am glad you sent this post as you have put to rest the Slovenian maps issue which will be great. Did you manage to get Tom Tom going?

Hi Stephen
unfortunatly you can not as yet get gps software for the PNA150 as it runs
WinCE.Net 4.2 Medion do not intend to release Europe for it at the moment. I ended up trading my one in for a MDPNA100 which is a pocket PC.
