|
|
I'm running Destinator 3 on my XDA 2 with a tom tom bt gps unit, all great for a while but now i destinate to a location and after 20 mins or so destinator just turns itself off.
Any ideas anyone.
I thought it might be the sd card but have since tried another and i am still experiencing the same problem.
After destinator shuts down if i try to start it up again it just locks up and i have to soft reset.
XDA 2 is rom 1.72

Sounds like your PDA runs out of memory. Try running fewer programs in the background, and try moving some data and programs onto storage card. _________________ Lutz

Thanks i'll try that, but according to my memory allocation i have about 47mb free and when i'm running i only have on the sat nav and the phone function + the bluetooth is switched on, do you think that's enough to block the system.

no, 47 MB should indeed be plenty. It gets dangerous when it's below 10.
So you'll have to verify the memory allocation while Destinator is running. Maybe your version has a memory leak and that then causes the issue after the 20 minutes you mentioned. _________________ Lutz

Ran Destinator on and off all day tues & weds.
I kept checking the memory and i have about 22mb free which seems to remain constant so that dosent seen to be the problem.
It didn't shut down while testing but i think it's only a matter of time
Have you any other ideas??
regards

Went to oxford today and destinator shut down on the way up but not on the way back?
I can't explain why but i'm going to reload the software and see if that does anything. |
