As a complete non-programmer, I've got what might be a very stupid question, so please don't laugh.
Is it possible, using the SDK, to devise an add-on that would force TTN to stick to its route option (ie shortest/quickest/walk) rather than always reverting to 'quickest' as soon as a route recalculation is caused?
Thanks, guys |

No that can't be done with the SDK. |

Not necessarily a recalculation reverts TomTom to quickest route. I think is in the manual, or may be I read it somewhere, but it works.
The trick is that TomTom reverts to the mode that was used before two times in a row. But there is a "bug", if a recalculation happens before just starting to move because your GPS indicates you are a few yards away from the route then it comes back to quickest. But this bug can be avoided.
As rider courier I prefered lots of times the shortest way. My trick was to calculate the route twice as shortest. Then you switch to map mode and start to move, as soon the GPS "blue arrow" shows you are in the route switch to navigation mode. If any recalculation is done will be as shortest.
Try it.
