One of the only crtisims of the 510 is the speaker volume, someone said you cant hear it if you have the radio on or window open, is this true ?
Do people cope with this by adding a seperate speaker and does this solve the problem ?
Thanks. |

Well, I find it a bit hard to hear with the window open at high speed, but then I have trouble hearing the radio then too. Overall, the sound isn't brilliant but it is quite easy to understand unless you like having the radio up loud or you drive with the window open at high speed.
If you really need to concentrate on the directions, you'll probably turn the radio down a bit anyway. There is an option to put a separate speaker on but I haven't needed to do it. |

I too found it to be very quiet and that is without taking off my hardtop.
I bought a pair of Sony Travel Speakers (powred) from Argos and a extension lead from Maplins.
The volume is now superb.
I did post the details some weeks back.
