|
|
I currently have a ICN 650 running V3 software. However on the Navman site there appears to be a Service Pack 1 available. Has anyone downloaded this and, if so, what changes does the service pack provide. There is also a choice of "Mirror 1" or "Mirror 2" to download. Anyone know what these are ?
Thanks, |

SP1 corrects the following:
1) GPS Lost Warning and Speed Alert relationship
2) Incorrect Route colour in 'Map Navigation' window
3) Functionality of Active POI tick box
4) Speed alert message is not cleared
5) Route Summary, displayed incorrect destination
6) Local Time offset increament, not consistant
7) Incorrect Estimated Time in Route Summary
8] Improved functionality of Trip planner buttons
9) Improved French translations
10) Incorrect 'zoom in' to iCN610 cross hair location
11) ATM and Bank icon not always displayed
12) Incorrect 'zoom in' to iCN610 cross hair location
13) Descrepancies when saving a Shortcut to Favorites
14) Limit the number of POI categories
Plus it is reported to inmprove the time to accuire a fix as it installs new GPS receiver firmware.
I would install it. _________________ Ian.

After using the service pack for a few days, I still think it improved the acquisition time on my 630.
Interestingly, it has also changed the routing algorithm parameters sligthly, as it now sends me a different route to work than before the SP was applied (it doesn't take a shortcut through a residential back street). I actually preferred the route with the shortcut. |

Is there anyway of removing the SP1 patch for the 650. I think I may have a few problems with that but I want to check first before I state what problems.

You could try just reinstalling the software from the CD. It should overwrite the existing data. _________________ Tim |

I have been getting problems recently getting a fix on my ICN 630 V3. I think the update has been applied.
Can someone check their version numbers please.
I am running:
Version 3.00.1009
English v3.01.0003
Built on 2004-11-22 11:16:46 (A)
Core: T-core-v1_16_0039 2004/11/05-14:15:49
Thanks. |
