Serial Port on PPC

Hi Guys,

Could anyone point me towards a low cost pocketpc that has a serial port, that can be connected to a GPS or modem.

Most Pocket PCs do have a serial port in the 'base' connector, but not all do.

For iPAQs, you can check the Global QuickSpecs to check that the model you are looking at has a serial port. You need to scroll down to "Other interfaces" (usually part way down page 2 in the PDF version) and check that Serial RS232 is mentioned. Look, for example, at the hx2110 series QuickSpec to see what I mean.

Unfortunately there's no QuickSpec for the rz1710. The HP UK web site here implies Serial support (look under External I/O support) and I believe the HP Navigation Pack uses a serial (wired) GPS, but I could be wrong here. Be aware that the rz1710 is rather a limited machine - in particular, it only has 32MB of RAM.
