Got the latest D3 version, but cannot find anyway to alter the distance at which Alerts are given from, for example, a speed camera. Can anyone tell me how to set this ?
Also tried out DTweak on version 3.0.75 (UK maps) - can't seem to get it working at all - no icons showing, nothing obviously hiding behind anything else - anyone else had any luck ?
Thanks. I guess that DestinatorVoiceManeuvers.inf file is used only when a route has been plotted and is being followed. Is there a way to have an Alert sound before the camera when just driving with Destinator on, i.e. without having an entered destination (hope that makes sense) ?
lbendlin - thanks for your help so far. Can't work out what I need to configure in DestinatorVoiceManeuvers.inf . Whether using the navigation with a set route or just having Destinator running, it is only warning me of a speed camera when I'm right on top of the thing. Reading DestinatorVoiceManeuvers.inf , this is what it is telling me :
//
// All the fields must be placed in one line. The fields will divided by commas.
//
// Fields description:
// 1) ::MW The multiple word command is a key word.
// 2) A command is being built from two parts (each part is a key word). The two
// parts will be divided by a ・・sign. The first part will describe the command name
// RED_LIGHT_CAMERA for example) and the second part will describe the distance type
// DISTANCE_TYPE_800 for example).
// 3) For future use, (・・will be entered).
// 4) For future use, (・・will be entered).
// 5) to N) The words from which the sentence is built. Each word (or words) between two
// commas must refer to a wav files with the same name which exists in the same
// folder as the information file, (if a file or a command for that matter will not be
// found silent mode will be activated).
// The max value of 鮮・will be ・3・ (will allow a ten words sentence).
// N+1) The command textual description, (will be written between quotation marks -
// commas are possible).
It seems that it should be giving me plenty of alerts prior to the camera - what am I missing here ? I noticed that none of the numbers after '141' (eg. 1000;800;600;400;100;50) correspond to a .wav file in \DestinatorApps\Destinator\Common\Interface\Voice\All folder - could this be the prob ? Thanks.
Yup - got the 141.wav file and it only sounds when right on top of the camera - I'm guessing that you also need one or more of the distance .wav files (eg. 1000.wav, 800.wav, 600.wav, etc) following the 141.wav ? Do you have these files in your folder ? Since I've only got 500.wav and 200.wav, this may be the problem. I've tried renaming '600'
To change the alert distance;
Go to "Destinate" then "Favourites"" tap on Red Light Camera or Speed Camera, then go to Tools & tap on 'Edit' ,you then come to a screen which will allow you to alter the alert distance.
This works with Ver. 3.0.75_95 (Australian)
However a bug will prevent you from setting and retaining the second alert distance. I still haven't found a fix for this.
Hi - thanks for that info. I'll check it out tonight, but I think with the British version, this feature is not available as yet ? I think I'm running 3.0.75_81 - is there a new update available for the UK version introducing this feature ?
