Hi, I'm new to this too, only got mine a week ago. Yep, 3.07 is the latest version, and like you my street isn't on it (it's 5 years old)!
The annoying thing is that my street is on TomTom Mobile which a mate of mine has (its the version that runs on mobile phones), stupid really considering we both bought them at the same time.
I asked TomTom the same question and got this reply, which basically says that it will cost to update it.....:-
"TomTom is an innovative company that always strives to have the latest updates and technology. We therefore have once a year an upgrade program where customers of TomTom are offered to buy the latest version plus the maps for a reduced price. All registered TomTom users will be kept informed about future releases and upgrades.
We hope to have answered your question to your satisfaction.
With best regards,
The TomTom Customer Support Team" |

the latest maps in the usa are from version 2.24. tomtom is pretty good on offering free or cheap upgrades. i received 1 free map update and the latest version was offered for $53 to previous customers. |

Even if TomTom wanted to give a free upgrade they couldn't. Even maps which are slightly changed are charged for again at full price from Teleatlas. So there will always be a minimum upgrade cost. |
