I downloaded the Postcodes_S_Central.zip file and then loaded the Postcodes_S_Central.ov2 into the great britain map folder all ok.
I tried using it today to navigate to a post code for a customer and even using the screen keyboard it could not find it and gave the message cannot find POI. I drove to the customer and checked again and lo and behold the postcode was there as was the SO area codes, when I was in the SP area it could not see the SO codes. It would seem that only the postcodes that are within a certain distance of your present location are shown and available Question . Any ideas please I have the latest software.
Thanks

The postcode search is very slow. It will often come up with "No code found" before you have typed in the complete code!! Try typing the code and then waiting. At least 10 secs, sometimes longer, but it will seem like an age.

What size SD card do you have? There is not a lot of room on the 128 card for many postcodes. There is also a limit to the number of PoI groups you can add - forty max. TomTom will load more (if the card is big enough) but they won't be accessible.

If you use lots of postcodes on TomTomGo you will probably need the consolidated set from http://www.timodonnell.co.uk/ttg

A point to note - Tim hopes to be updating that link this weekend.

Thanks, I used Tim's file. My card is 128 so I will have to upgrade that and I will wait to see if it comes up. Smile
