Can someone tell me if this Magnetic Windscreen Mount any good:
http://www.pdamods.com/proddetail.asp?prod=WSMMOUNT
I can't get a proper car kit for my PDA (Fujitsu Loox 420).
And in anycase, I don't really need one thanks to the dual charger cable I have with my Fortuna.
Any feedback would be appreciated.
Thanks.

Looks similiar to the one provided with the Mitac Mio.
Two comments
- should not be used with Pocket PCs that have a CF slot. We did already have reports from users with CF Microdrives when all of a sudden the Microdrive sounds like "clicke-ti-clack" ...
- there is no "security net" that would prevent a falling down. The Mio mount for example has a leather pouch that goes over the magnetic plate, providing an additional safety layer.

Brodit have cradles for the Loox 400 series. They would be the best and safest solution. _________________ Darren Griffin |

I had a look and all of the models are for screwing onto a wall.
Not good for a car. ;)
I would like to go for one of these if it was possible to put into a car?? _________________ iPaq 3870

They're intended for in-car use! You affix the cradle to a ProClip which is a car specific clip that fits in your car without using screws. See our reviews of the Brodit system here. _________________ Darren Griffin |
