I wonder if you could help me out with some advice as to how to buy a Palm version of TomTom?
I have a Tungsten C and a Haicom receiver so have no requirement for the hardware......just the software.
I've looked in the "Products" area and found Navigator 3 Software + Maps for the PPC which, I am told, has a copy of the Palm version on the CD.
Can I buy that version and then upgrade using the updates freely available to take me to version 4 or am I missing something?
Thanks in anticipation.

yes. In fact, you don't need to install the Palm version from the CD - the "updates" are full versions. _________________ Lutz

This is what I did; the main thing you need is the TomTom "Product Code" which is on the CD packaging and is used to activate the maps via the web site. The product codes don't seem to be device-specific.
I then applied the most recent update and it works well.
However I'm not certain that all versions of the PPC software CD have the Palm software on them; someone posted here that more recent ones don't.

Thanks all for your advice - looks like I will have to be careful as to which version I buy then to make sure I get one with Palm content!
Ebay here I come!
Thanks and regards,

Just realised what you meant!
So all I need to do is get "any" Navigator 3 package as long as it is a real one with a product code, then obtain updates, then install updates rather than the stuff off the CD and then apply product code via the web?
Regards,

That's how I'd do it. _________________ Lutz
