I have just received mu replacement code. Yesterday I encountered the error whilst using the automted link provided in the email. Did you use the automated link or manually enter the code?

It was the automated link and it put the correct info for me, it was when I got to the last stage of selecting a credit card type for the payment that the system fell over. I am using a Mac, so maybe that is the problem? _________________ David |

I must be the only one here which still has not received the voucher code, even though Royal Mail confirmed that my letter arrived in Amsterdam on 28.03. Will give them tomorrow another call, which is slowly getting annoying. |

As I started this (lengthy) thread, I thought it only apt to update you! I eventually received not one, but three, voucher codes! Being the honest chap I am, I only used one and it arrived via DHL this morning. I'm not quite as enthused about TT2 as I thought I was going to be but first impressions are often wrong so I'll give it a few days to see how it beds in. _________________ (using Tom Tom Navigator 2) |

I got through on the telephone to TT this afternoon and they are calling me back about the problem with payments. Very helpful so far, it makes a big difference actually speaking to someone, rather than automated email replies. _________________ David |

Has anyone ever had a personal reply from TomTom via email? I am getting extremely fed up with complete lack of advice from them via email. The replacement voucher yesterday was just another automatically generated email, no attempt at any kind of personal reply. This all just gives the impression that there are no actual staff there to deal with problems. _________________ David |

I have not got my email voucher yet and I am wondering just how good the 'signed for' service is from the Post Office. You certainly don't get door to door tracking for £3.50
I am also wondering if I should wait for a few days until the rush dies down and their (under specified?) order processing server can cope.
Unfortunately you have no other choice if you use Royal Mail. Their signed for is pretty useless as far as tracking goes - once it leaves the UK they have no idea where it goes. Saying that mine arrived at TomTom OK.
Still waiting for a third replacement voucher by email ..... _________________ David |

I just thought I would give TomTom some support. It would appear that quite a few of you have had problems. In my case I followed their instructions, sending back my CD's and received the code as promised. I ordered the software without any problems and received two emails, one confirming the order and the second confirming payment. I am now awaiting the software.
Also I sent an email to TomTom asking if they could supply a spare part. I received a reply the next day asking for my address, which I provided. I then received another email the day after to say the spare part had been despatched. It came within two days. So far the service I have received from TomTom has been excellent.
I hope the new software works just as well. |
