|
|
Hi guys,
I've just started experiencing problems with 4 overlay files from the camera database (namely Bus_Lane_Camera.OV2 and Speed_Camera_70/90/130). When starting TTN3 via CheckPOInt 3.2, I get four errors stating "xxxxxx.OV2 contains data CheckPOInt cannot handle".
If I OK on these warnings, TTN3 starts and there are valid Speedcam POI's in the system (but I cannot check the specifics - especially the 130 !! :D :D )
I've tried moving the files around on the Storage Card but to no avail - is it something at my end or is there a genuine problem in these OV2 files?
Any advice/troubleshooting tips greatly appreciated.
Rgds

You can try to re-encode the files with DumpOV2 /MakeOV2 and see if the error goes away. _________________ Lutz

The file names that you quote are not distributed by PocketGPSWorld. Which website are they from?

Richard,
Thanks, I thought it was me! I've just re-downloaded the database, cleared my cache & re-downloaded, etc. trying to find the files :D

Hi All,
About two hours after I posted my message yesterday, my whole CF memory card died anyway.
I've just finished re-formatting and re-installing TTN3 + extras, and so far it all seems OK.
I left my iPAQ in the car for a few hours the other day when it got really cold, maybe that upset the card?
Thanks for the reolies anyway,
Happy Navigating !!

Hi Simon,
If you haven’t already got one, I’d recommend that you get a card reader. Even from a high street retailer you should get change from £30 – but they are worth their weight in gold.
You can quickly backup your CF card to a folder on your PC.
You can install maps much quicker via a card reader than via ActiveSync.
The ultimate backup plan is to use the latest version of Sprite Backup to backup your PDA to your storage card and then backup your storage card to a folder on your PC.

Will back up to PC now for definite - much quicker, as you say.
