I have a similiar jacket, and it works as COM4 at 4800 without problems. (Mine just doesn't use a driver).. Can you try other ports? Maybe it's at COM5 on your machine.

If I select aan NMEA GPS, I can only select

Com3 (Hangs Machine Up)
IRDA
Serial Cable Com1
Serial USB

If I select a Navman GPS it automaitcally defaults to GPS Reciever (used to say com4 with newer TomTom Driver)

Again, you need to keep TomTom out of the picture until the GPS actually works. You should do a hard reset, then install the appropriate Navman jacket driver and Crux_View - nothing else.

Have a look here - according to this article the GPS is on COM6 at 57600 . That's very different from the jacket I have, but please try.

3.16 is the correct one for the Navman 3000/3400 Jacket. It isn't a Compaq iNS jacket, is it?

Ok!! Making Some Progress (ish)

Did exactly as before (Hard Reset etc) then loaded 3.16 Navman Serial Driver Instead. It now seems to work!! (Only if I select Baud Rate of 57600 (All other settings will just give a Baud Rate Error

OK, so keep the receiver at COM6 57600, install TomTom and the voice files BUT DO NOT INSTALL TOMTOM GPS 3.xx!!! Install TomTom GPS 2.07 from our downloads page instead.

Hiya Guys...

I have installed TomTom & unfortunately I cannot get TomTom to secure a gps position. Does anyone know for sure what GPS device I should select in the TomTom GPS software?

I know that the gps is working from using Crux View.

Again....an help is greatly appreciated

Merry Xmas All!

Same as stated above - set it to Standard NMEA 57600 at COM6. Do not attempt to select a particular GPS device.
