As for the voice files
- find the CAB on the CD, or get one from the web
- copy it to the Pocket PC
- run it
- then verify the registry and adjust it if necessary. |
I have the TT 4, 2004, Discs right in front of me. The upgrade discs. That is what I was originally trying to install, that didn't work. I then followed your instructions and installed the file that you directed me too...... I thought that WAS Version 4... the newest, but I guess it is 3 as it says on the device now. I see that.
I need to put 4 on the device........ that is what is failing........ is there a way to fix that? Even before the voice files, I would like to get 4 on the device. _________________ Ian |

I also tried to install the cabs from the CD 2004 without the CD running the setup. They seem to install fine and then the same thing happens from the original problem. The device freezes causing a soft reset as soon as I go to launch it.
Having a feeling they are not compatible. The device and TT4. _________________ Ian |

Ahh... a crucial bit of information...
Is your Viewsonic running Windows Mobile 2002 or 2003?
If you want I can cross check on a 2003 machine _________________ Lutz

This may be your issue. TTN4 may only run on 2003. Let me see if I can verify this. _________________ Lutz

Please check your PM. I have one report from Europe that it might just work with 2002 but I'd like to verify it myself. _________________ Lutz
