Hi guys
I have just purchased the tom tom go so far very impressed.
I have just bought the 1gb sd card for it and will be starting loading the maps of western europe on it.
My question is say I was traveling to holland with all of the maps loaded ie france benelux and germany and on route I wanted to go to germany will the ttgo swap maps automatically or do I have to change the maps manually. |

To my knowledge, no current TomTom product can automatically select the map to use, nor can you route across maps (which is why there's "Major Roads" maps on most if not all TomTom products).

France would provide French names, Nederland would provide Dutch. _________________ Tim |

TomTom does not swap maps automatically as already mentioned in this thread.
One thing that has not been mentioned is the Major Roads of Europe which provides seamless navigation across the supported European countries main roads.
What I would do in you scenario is to have the detailed maps of the start, destination and MRE. You can start with the MRE which will get you across the countries and right up to the town of your destination. Swap the maps and complete your journey.
One thing to point out is that the POIs are specific to the loaded map not to the GO system. This also allows you to have seperate favorites for each map set. _________________ Mike Barrett |

There are downloads for France and Benelux available. The Benelux is in the PoI link on the left of this page. I can't remember where I found the french ones....... |
