This has been bugging me for some time.
How do you, in TT3 (latest version), navigate to a town/village?
If it is a small place, then it would be good just to navigate there without
knowing a streetname (which TT seems to have difficulty working out which
streets are in the town you specify - a real pain if you are unfamiliar with
somewhere and don't know the postcode etc.).
For example, if I ask it to Navigate to Dunbar, it correctly finds Dunbar (East Lothian), but it navigates me to the middle of nowhere. It appears to navigate to a place called east lothian. If you navigate to dunbar, with
a street (e.g. warrender crescent), then you end up in the right place.
Is there a simple way round this?

Hi PW,
Lutz's way sounds a lot quicker than mine, but if you had a bit of time before your journey began, you could find the town/village on the map and pinpoint the exact place you wanted to end up. When you click on a point on the map it should come up with a list of options like 'Navigate to here' or 'Set as departure.'
HTH.

Bo Peep. _________________ TomTom 730

Thanks to Lutz and Bo Peep for the replies.
Bo Peep - your method is the way I currently do it, which works
if you have some idea where the place is!
Lutz - Your suggestion seems to do the job.
Thanks
