Is it possible to load Speed Limits POI's, and if so where do I need to go to
obtain the necessary files.
Thanks |

I saw an example of the road map with speed limits displayed alongside the road, and I think you can load wav files into Checkpoint that indicate the speed limit on the road on which you are travelling. |

That was probably a section camera. These are special types of cameras that monitor your time of arrival at the beginning of a piece of road and then again at the end of it, and can therefore calculate your speed along it and tell if you were speeding. Checkpoint does have support for those. |

I was going toask a similar question. Sometimes when driving (esp in Wales) the speed limits change for the road you are on BUT there are speed cameras and no signs so I end up totally confused at what speed I should be doing and therefore drive slower to avoid getting a ticket but at the same time annoy drivers who know the area and know the speed limit for the road. What I wanted to know is there software that will tell you the speed limit for the road you are on? |
