Issue with Android 16

If you've been 'lucky' enough to be 'upgraded' to Android 16 then you may notice an issue with the on-screen notifications when you approach a camera.

Due to the new 'Streamlined Notifications' which group app notifications together so there's less clutter, Android 16 now does not display the notification as you approach a camera - you get the audio and the notification is present, but it doesn't show on the screen unless you pull down from the top and manually expand the CamerAlert notifications.

This is completely out of our hands as it's part of how the Operating System now works so it's rather annoying. You cannot disable 'Streamlined Notifications' for apps and the only way I have been able to get the notifications to show is to swipe away the 'CamerAlert is running in the background' notification. And then new notifications are shown. The downside to this is 1) remembering to swipe it away after putting the app in the background and 2) not having the quick option to disable the background running....

II shall keep investigating if there's anything within the app itself that we can do to control this but from what I've seen online so far, there isn't...

Why doesn't Google look at backwards compatibility like others
