Garmin DriveSmart 66 6Inch- will it support POI & voice?

My first forum post!
Had a TomTom Start 25 for years with PocketGPSWorld camera files & voice. Worked perfectly. Now it seems that TomTom current products are downgraded and can't support POI files as before (why?? idiotic change!) so I returned the new device (Classic Go) as not fit for my purpose.

Thinking of buying a Garmin DriveSmart 66 6Inch. Will this give me the same functionally, using POIloader, as I have on my Start 25? Despite much browsing on this awesome site, I'm still not sure! Don't want to buy the Garmin only to find it won't display cameras and give voice alerts as I had before on the TomTom.

Garmin do allow third party cameras with alerts, but, in trhe last few days there does seem to be a bug as reported here :
