|
|
I've been a Garmin gpsV user since they came out...now I have a new 4150 that I would like to use as a gpsr in my car.
Do you have experience with Canadian mapping?
Is it possible to use GArmin's City Select 6 on a pocket pc?
The 4150 has bluetooth and an SD port. What are my choices?
Regards,
Dave L

You need the SD slot for the map memory cards. Get a BT GPS receiver.
Do you want to do outdoors navigation or car navigation? _________________ Lutz

I'm interested in car navigation. I have a gpsV for hiking.
Thanks!

One thing is for sure - don't try Garmin's software for car navigation. There are far superior systems on the market. You can currently chose between CoPilot, Mapopolis. Destinator, and Deluo Routis (or other Intellinav clones). They all have Canada coverage, Mapopolis even has decent rural maps. _________________ Lutz

That's really helpful!
I truly appreciate it. There's a local vendor that I'm trying to get information from...for CoPilot with a bluetooth gpsr. However, I'm having no luck trying to reach mightygps.
Take care,

ps We've been members of a miata club for a number of years. We enjoy finding interesting rural roads (paved) for our cars. That's the best justification for a new gpsr.
My GArmin V with MetroGuide 4 runs out of maps in an hour's travel (unless caught in traffic 8O ). Due to 19 M of memory (good in it's day.)
