Is this using 'headset mode' (where the app pretends to be a phonecall) or standard BT audio connection? |

I had the same problem, but can't remember for the life of me whether/how I fixed it. |

well my pixel 3xl died after google update so now using a samsung s20fe - had a quick test with aa and sta, but wasn't getting notifications through car speakers, did manager to get it on the phone but it was hit and miss, the odd thing was that the audio on car lowered while it played on phone.
i've made a few more changes, but as not travelling much it becoming harder to test
but the odd thing is that when you play test audio it comes through the car speakers, so it can work, but need to work out why not always advising of cameras through speakers when driving |

Very odd. My STA via Samsung S10 is working perfectly through the car system
I have 'Enable hands-free mode for voice alerts' ticked and both boxes unchecked under hands-free mode settings. _________________ DashCam:

I have it now coming through as a call and it seems to be working. other small issue is occasionally the location is frozen from before i started the app so no alerts sound as i seem to be disconnected from the gps but assume this must be phone related. |

Well that worked well
I've added a link to SpeedTrap in my Converter V2 for testing:
Clicked the link, transferred the zipped file to Dropbox.
I have my STA 'Add File' pointing to Dropbox and there it was, ready for inclusion.
If there's any interest I'll put it into the Converter V1
Note: The Verifier download is protected, greyed out, and limited to Verifiers only.

I'm assuming you rename the file upon saving to dropbox as the filename will be different each time.

No, don't need to.
As you say, each weekly zip filename is different and that's fine.
Once in Dropbox, as a zip, STA is clever enough to recognise this and performs an 'open', not an extract, so you can see the .txt file.
Once there you simply select the .txt file and it gets uploaded into STA. _________________ DashCam:

Whilst I wait for Leo I wonder if anyone has this working.
STA works perfectly whilst the screen is visible. If I use the phone back button I get the popup that asks if you want to stop the alert service.
I answer 'no' and STA remains in the top notification area as still running, but, I get no alerts.
As soon as I tap the icon and the screen shows itself again the alerts start again.
What I'm trying to test is to have Google Maps navigation running in the foreground with STA issuing bluetooth alerts in the background. _________________ DashCam:

I certainly have this working, but I think I usually use my voice to ask for navigation, so that Maps just comes up on top of STA.
Sometimes I do this manually by pressing the home button to clear the screen and selecting google maps rather than using the back button to get off STA. |

Thanks
This is my issue, on my Samsung S10, if I don't have a STA screen then no alerts.
I've turned off the STA option to always have it on top and I'll see if I can get Maps running on top.
I'm just testing this prior to me getting a car with Android Auto later this year. If I can crack this then I won't need my Garmin on the dash. _________________ DashCam:

@Leo_A
Problem .....
When using bluetooth, if any STA screen is not showing then no alerts.
As a test I turned off 'Keep Screen On' in the 'Screen' section.
I have a camera fairly near me and I got a warning via bluetooth through the car system as normal.
My next camera is some way away and before I got to it the screen had auto closed the speedo screen I use but according to the display, notification area and icon badge, it was still running in the background?
However, and I've found this via other scenarios, if there is no STA screen visible, no alerts are fired across via bluetooth.
When I got no warning for the next camera I tapped the STA icon, which brought the speedo screen up and I then got a warning for the next camera which was a short distance away and before the screen closed again. _________________ DashCam:

If you use beta version which is targeted Android 10, check app location permissions. Android silently sets "Allow when active" when the app updates. Set "Allow always". No other ideas currently... |
