Hi there,
Wonder if you could help with this problem (please bear with me - I'm a newbie and still 'playing' with this stuff )
Got a TT3 bluetooth + IPAQ 1940. The TT3 came with Benelux maps...works absolutely fine. The problem is I have been given a GB Tomtom CD and would like to install just the GB maps from it onto my current version of Tomtom. But......when I run the install CD (GB disk) I only get the option to do a full install....there is no option to install just the maps as there is on the Benelux cd.
Can anyone help????? I'd be very grateful as I've got a UK trip planned in November and I'd like to spend less time getting lost and more time having fun :D
Many Thanks

Why don't you do the full install? It's not a problem if it is the same TTN version. Existing maps will not be deleted.
Make sure you use a card reader, and don't try to install the maps via ActiveSync, _________________ Lutz

Thanks everso for the info - I'll try it out later when I get hold of a card reader. Quick question - why not use Activesynch?? (I get the feeling I'm being daft here - but I can't think of a reason!!!).
Cheers

Because if you use Activesync, you'll have flying cars before it finishes
It's way too slow, a card reader with USB 2.0 connection is much preferable. |
