Hi, Can anyone tell me if these POIs can be installed into a Nissan Connect 2 system on a Nissan Note 64 plate. |

Hi Juddy1951,
to the forum!
It is unlikely that your vehicle’s built-in navigation system will accept either the PocketGPSWorld camera database or any custom Points of Interest (POIs) because in the last few years motor manufactures have been removing the ability to add custom POIs to their built-in navigation systems.
Have you checked the online manual for the navigation system? Alternatively, you could ask in an online forum for your vehicle’s make and model. You need to establish:
- Whether you can add custom POIs
- If you can add custom POIs, what the file type and format is.
- Can you add icons (to show on the map)? If so, the file type.
- Whether you can allocate proximity alerts to the POIs and how to do that.
- Can you add sound files for Proximity alert warnings and if so the file type?
You may find that it’s easier to use a smartphone. If you have an iPhone then you can use the CamerAlert app. If you have an Android then you can use either the CamerAlert app or the SpeedTrap Alert app.

As posted, most manufacturers now discourage user uploading of speed camera POi's into head units to reduce service reception visits.
What a lot of us are doing is to use a Smartphone, connected to the car head unit via bluetooth and using CamerAlert.
In my case when I get an alert it mutes the car audio, issues the alert, then returns the car audio.
Perfect solution.
Your call if you don't want any speed camera warnings. _________________ DashCam:

But if you do, then this is the place to be. |

Have you checked (an external source) whether your vehicle’s built-in navigation system will accept custom Points of Interest (POIs)?
As you enquired in the "PocketGPSWorld Speed Camera Database" section of this forum I presume that you wish to use the PocketGPSWorld Speed Camera Database and regardless of the device that you use (e.g. PND i.e. Personal Navigation Device like a TomTom or Garmin unit, app, etc) then you do need to be a subscriber to use the PocketGPSWorld Speed Camera Database data. However, the CamerAlert and SpeedTrap Alert apps are free.
