Can someone please tell me if it is possible to use CameraAlert through Android Auto on my new Volvo V90?
The map applications available through it seem to be Google Maps and Waze but CameraAlert does not seem to be on the list of downloadable Apps. However, rather oddly, I keep on getting messages asking me to update the database every time I connect my phone to the car via USB and I have only just worked out that they seem to be coming from CameraAlert!
On my old Volvo V70, I used to be able download files which integrated with the SatNav on that car but this does not seem to be possible on my new car.
I would prefer to use CameraAlert if I can on my new car because it seems to be a lot more comprehensive than the rather basic camera alerts available on the car's inbuilt SatNav. However, my subscription is coming up for renewal in the next few days and there will be obviously no point in renewing it I can't use the software.
Many thanks |

I use Android Auto with camera alert on my Skoda Karoq. If your Volvo works with Android Auto then camera alert should work too. _________________ Where there's a will ... there's a way. |

I've just acquired a new Mazda with Android Auto and a new Galaxy s10e phone with Android Auto installed. The Camera Alert app is installed on my phone but not listed as a compatible App with Android Auto. Is it possible to integrate the camera alerts with Waze (my prefered Nav App). It seems to me that Developments in this direction should be near the top of the list for Pocket GPS World. |

It's upto Google to allow third party apps to work with Android Auto - A lot of users have complained about other apps not working with it.
I know Sygic has now released an update so their app works with MirrorLink but still a nogo with AA, which is the same as TomTom
I would have thought you could still get the audio output |
