Speed cameras with an auxiliary flash.
It seems that the aux flash is installed when they change the camera from film to digital.
Are the cams in the database
Don't worry about the wrong section. the 'New Posts' link will pick it up for peeps. Don't double post though. |

They're made by StreetSeen (or StreetSafe??) - we have a few around Bradford. The grey post, as already mentioned, is an extra flash.
The grey flash poles were added about 6 months after the new cameras were put in place - I'm guessing they realised the pictures were too dark when they tried to prosecute speeders.... |

I posted a few similar jobs I found in Oxhey near Watford.
It was said at the time that these were old Gatso's converted to digital pseudo Monitrons.

Just a though but should bus lane cameras be added to the database? Seems like these can catch even the most wary of drivers? _________________ Where there's a will ... there's a way. |

Keep it as a thought
Almost every bus lane in London, and there are many hundreds, are covered by cameras. Some verifying job that would be.
Then we would get normal CCTV cameras reported, as we do now for speed cameras.
Round me, most are peak hours but some are 24x7. _________________ DashCam:

Are not bus lanes clearly marked as such? |

It's been discussed before and the decision was no, we won't be adding bus lane cameras. I *think* some members discussed adding them in the normal POIs? |

Plus which, isn't it true that some/many buses also carry bus lane cameras? - Mobile bus lane cameras? . _________________ Dennis

All London buses for quite a few years now are fully covered with CCTV, in and out but they are only looked at if needed.
Arriva London have a novel system that offloads the footage via Wifi each time the bus enters the garage. Better than the old system of night staff having to go and collect media.then manually saving it. _________________ DashCam:
