Very odd. This must be a phone OS issue because considering the years CA has been out it's only recently this has been reported. _________________ DashCam:

Cheers, so does mine, and I've tried adjusting them all but CA seems to bypass everything in its bid to drown out everything else |
I too have run through all the settings I can find, all to no avail.....loud is OK but the heart-rendering seizure that accompanies it is not good whilst driving !!!
The only other option I can think of is to make a custom sound and turn the level right down before saving it....not ideal as it still won't allow on the fly adjustment but better than a near cardiac arrest every few minutes !
Another thing I noticed was that the map seemed to be zoomed in to maximum (i.e. stupid ) levels of magnification even when I elected to zoom out to a wider area when required.
I have never noticed that before as I usually run with no maps displayed and it starts TomTom Go but in this instance I used the in car satnav and the app as standalone speedcam warning |

It seems like the Devs have adopted the TomTom model of customer care and feedback _________________ Galaxy Note 4 / TomTom GO : CamerAlert : CoPilot |

Got to agree.
I sent in 2 sets of logs from my HTC One m7 because CA used to shutdown or lockup after about half an hour.
If I knew why I may have been able to adjust it. _________________ DashCam:

After rejecting a new Garmin 50 because of the mirror screen and reflections it comes with I've been looking at other options and a old Sony Xperia loaded with Google maps I thought might the answer.
However, I too have been struggling with this 'over-zoom' business which I initially assumed to be the fault of my mobile.
The old phone and Google kinda works but suffers from the over zoom so badly I've had to turn off the maps and rely just on the audio warnings. When zoomed right in as it does it's impossible to see anything of use and then, just to add insult, it stays in zoom mode!
My other problem is the sound output on the 6 year old Sony, despite the 'max volume' complaints from others my old Sony hasn't got the umph and I struggle to hear the alerts.
Seems my search for the right solution goes on. |
