I have CP5 and the safety camera database installed and working.
I have noticed a couple of cameras not listed and I am wondering the best way to capture the information.
I know CP5 had an option to save current location, which will probably suffice but that assumes that I am in a position to work through the screens and find the option and I am static next to the camera, which is unlikely.
How do others manage , in flight, so to speak?
On the same subject if you do capture a location I don't see an option to edit that location to get the lat/long to put it into an -email for notification to the camera team. Any clues?
Finally, how is a 2 way camera (on a single post) managed. How would I capture and report details of that
TIA

Unlike TomTom (who have a "memorize position" feature) this is not easily done in CP5. What you could do is have a screen shot program running at the same time and then when you see a camera you make a screenshot of the current map. Of course later you will have to remember where exactly the camera was, but it's close enough for an alert.
I have asked all vendors for a mode where the current Longitude/Latitude will be permanently displayed on the navigation screen, but I seemed to have been the only one who wanted this, so no luck. _________________ Lutz

In order to record a position to create my own POIs, I use a ButtonMax macro to invoke the CP5 Save Current Location. CP5 has to be on a map screen, not the safety screen to use it. Later on, I can read the favorite.lst file at my leisure to extract the latitude and longitude. _________________ Kam |
